Unauthorized
Biography Disclaimer

We
have been receiving a lot of questions regarding
an Unauthorized biography of Carly Simon,
that is coming out this month: More Room
In A Broken Heart, The True Adventures of
Carly Simon by Stephen Davis.
Carly wants to be sure that her fans know
that, regardless of what the publisher of
the book is advertising, she had nothing
to do with the creation of this book and
she does not support it in any way. She
was not interviewed for this book. There
are numerous factual errors, fictional stories,
made-up quotes, and “clipped” stories from
other books and magazines.
We hope you had a great holiday season and
are ready for 2012. We are excited for this
upcoming year and can't wait to tell you
about what Carly has planned!

Carly
Simon contributes Just Like A Woman
|
|
|
| NPR
Review: ....the lingering assumption that
women have easier access to the tender side
of the psyche makes it possible for standouts
like Carly Simon who finds the soft speech
within "Just Like A Woman," freeing it from
decades of gossip and mythologizing, rendering
it a love song again. |

The
Definitive Carly Simon Biography
|
| |
|
Extensively
researched and written by New York Times
best-selling author Sheila Weller, this
biography of Carly Simon (and how her life
and career intertwined with Carole's and
Joni's) is exuberantly and entertainingly
told by Ms. Weller. She interviewed scores
of Carly's friends, family members, lovers,
co-workers, musicians and Carly herself
- uncovering pertinent stories that explain
much of what has shaped Carly's life as
well as her musical career.
Hollywood
took notice of this epic tale and has hired
screenwriter John Sayles to write the script
for the movie version of Girls Like Us,
with Katie Jacobs set to direct.
No
word on who will play Carly, Carole or Joni
- but we can only imagine that the soundtrack
will be spectacular!
